Boundaries
According to HEO Minor policy, players must register with their designated association determined by the residence of the player on September 1 of the current hockey season. The West End Hockey League is part of the Bytown District, which includes teams from Ottawa Centre, Ottawa East, Canterbury and South End associations. Our league catchment area includes the following portion of the City of Ottawa:
- Bounded to the north by the Ottawa River;
- To the west by the border between the old City of Ottawa and the old City of Nepean;
- To the south a line along Baseline Road as far east as Fisher, then south on Fisher to its junction with Prince of Wales Drive and east from there to the Rideau River; and
- To the east boundary follows north along the Rideau River from the junction of River and the old City of Ottawa boundary, to its junction with the Rideau Canal, north along the Rideau Canal to Dow's Lake, north along Preston Street to Gladstone Avenue, east along Gladstone to Bronson Avenue north along Bronson to a direct line to the Ottawa River.
