Here is where we could use your help:
- President (2-year term)
- The captain of the ship (no skates required). Keeps the whole organization pointed in the right direction, leads the Board, and represents the association in the community and beyond. Sets the big-picture game plan while making sure day-to-day decisions stay true to what’s best for our hockey community.
- Secretary (1-year term)
- Runs the behind-the-scenes show for the Board—making sure meetings happen, rules are followed, and nobody forgets the bylaws (or snacks). Schedules all the big gigs, like the AGM and monthly Board pow-wows, crafts the agenda and takes the minutes.
- Treasurer (2-year term)
- The numbers wizard. Keeps the books balanced, the lights on, and the budget in check. Tracks every dollar, builds budgets with the leadership team, and makes sure everything passes the audit test with flying colours.
- Vice-President, Ice and Scheduling (2-year term)
- The master scheduler and ice-time juggler. Secures the ice, builds the schedule, and somehow makes practices, games, and tournaments all fit together. Works tirelessly behind the scenes with the City, BMHL, partners, and teams to keep everything (mostly) conflict-free.
- Vice-President, Junior (2-year term)
- Wrangles the youngest skaters (and their grownups). Recruits Convenors and bench staff for the Junior divisions (U5-U9) and keeps everything running in sync with the other VPs. Ability to answer questions from all first-time hockey parents is a must.
- Vice-President, Risk & Safety (2-year term)
- Guardian of the rules and keeper of the calm. Makes sure everyone on the ice and behind the bench is safe, vetted, and playing fair. Runs the disciplinary panel for serious on-ice drama and basically acts as the organization’s safety net.
- Vice-President, Volunteers (2-year term)
- The ultimate cheerleader. Works with the Board to recruit, recognize, retain, and reward the volunteer squad. Represents volunteers at the Board level and crafts strategies to keep the volunteer spirit alive.
If you’re interested in any of these roles or have questions, feel free to reach out to any current member of the Board contact us.
