Welcome WEHL Family.

We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new players and their families joining the WEHL and to all of our returning players and their families. We are looking forward to the upcoming hockey season and to continuing to build on the success of the WEHL, its teams, players, and coaches.

The WEHL is committed to its mission of providing an opportunity for everyone to play the game of hockey in a safe and enjoyable environment.

In the coming season, the WEHL will continue to focus on the following:

• Providing challenging and rewarding recreational hockey opportunities to its players
• Encouraging a high standard of self-discipline, teamwork and fair play on the part of coaches and players
• Developing players and coaches to their highest potential

The WEHL focus on player development extends beyond growth in hockey skills and ability to compete at any level in hockey, we also strive to ensure that players develop fundamental life skills such as hard work, self-discipline, dedication, courage, teamwork and leadership. Players work, play, learn and celebrate together. Along the way, they build unique friendships and a strong sense of team spirit and community. These benefits and potential for further player development are increased when coaches also have
opportunities to develop their coaching skills.
